StoryFutures Seed Funding R+D Award Winner
In March 2021, Furness Films was awarded seed funding to develop ideas for an immersive prototype working with The National House Project and Dr Joel Harvey, Lecturer in Forensic Psychology of Royal Holloway University to assist young people transitioning out of care.
The research project is underway with a series of workshops with the young people and interviews with health care and other clinical practitioners.
Radical Architecture of the Future
Out 7th January 2021; Beatrice Galilee’s book ‘Radical Architecture of the Future’ features Furness Film’s ‘The Last Moments’ amongst other inspiring works.
It is a progressive and cross-disciplinary exploration of contemporary architectural culture that moves between built and imagined realms. It spotlights recently-completed projects that include apps, films, installations, virtual reality and game design to approach spatial design through a unique, interdisciplinary perspective that highlights how much of architectural practice today goes far beyond simply the design and construction of buildings.
